Horseback Riding Lessons

🐎 Riding Lessons at Venture Stables

We offer fun, safe, and skill-building lessons for riders of all levels—ages 4 to 104!

✅ Private Lessons – One-on-one coaching for personalized progress (1 hour)
🤝 Group Lessons – Learn alongside others in a supportive setting (1 hour)
🐣 Tiny Tot Lessons – Gentle, fun sessions for riders ages 4–6 (30 minutes)

Choose Western or English style, and ride your own horse or one of our calm, reliable school horses. Lessons take place in our indoor 60×120 arena or 100×200 outdoor ring, weather permitting.

📅 Lesson season runs from October to June. Join anytime and ride with us!

Private Lessons

$60/hr (plus HST)

*For pay as you go lessons: Add $5.00 per lesson.

  • Custom Riding packages can be made to fit your schedule.
  • 24 notice is required to cancel or reschedule lessons.
  • Lessons & classes cancelled due to weather or emergency will be credited/rescheduled to another day.
  • Able-bodied students are required to tack and groom their own horses and be ready at their lesson start time. Students should plan their arrival time to allow for tacking and grooming. Additional time will not be added to your lesson if you are not ready at your scheduled start time.
  • Forms of payment Cash, Debit, Credit Card, Email Transfer.

Kidsport And Jumpstart

Funding is available to help offset the costs of riding lessons, up to $600 per child.

Venture Stables is proud to be a part of the KidSport and Jumpstart  Program! KidSport and Jumpstart Charities gives kids a sporting chance.

Participating in sport helps kids develop physical and social skills. It helps build self-esteem. By helping kids get into the game, we’re equipping them with determination. And we’re giving them confidence that will extend beyond practices and games.

Riding Lesson Registration

  • Please select level of experience. No experience is necessary for Level 1. Level 2 requires the ability to walk, trot, and tack your horse. Level 3 is for advanced riders who can walk, trot, cantor.
