🐎 Barrel & Pole Horse Camp 2026

📅 June 29 – July 3, 2026 | 🏕️ Venture Stables, Freetown, PEI

Arrive Monday, June 29th at 9:00 AM and pick up Friday, July 3rd at 12:00 PM.
🥗 All meals are provided

This camp is designed for riders and horses of all ages who want to improve their times, build confidence, and achieve new goals in the arena. Bring your own horse or ride one of Venture Stables’ trusted mounts. Overnight options include campers,cabins, or accommodations in our cozy room above the indoor stables.

Throughout the week, riders will train with Laura Morrison, an experienced barrel racer and trainer from Nova Scotia with over 20 years of experience. Alongside her partner Sylvester, Laura operates a training facility in Pictou where they specialize in starting colts, refreshing seasoned horses, and helping riders reach their full potential.

  • Day 1: Timed run-throughs of barrel and pole patterns

  • Days 2–4: Intensive training sessions with Laura Morrison

  • Day 5: Timed improvement runs and wrap-up before departure

At the end of camp, riders have the opportunity to compete at the NPBHA Barrel Horse Show in Crapaud (July 3–5).
To participate, riders must be members of the NPBHA Club and register in advance → npbha.org
